as a big angels fan, i must admit ive always hated the new name. i love it that the dodgers list the angels as "ana" on their scoreboard and vin scully only refers to them as the "angels." in fact, when i try to go to the angels website, i enter "anaheim angels" into google, still refusing to call them the los angeles angels. so if this comically absurd name the long beach armada, an independent league team from long beach, has chosen can bring light upon this absurd, but not in the funny way, name that the angels have chosen, then i love it. the fact that they chose to add in every single possible region they could shows that they arent imitating or following the angels, they are straight out mocking them, and its awesome.
